Poor Kadee

Meet Kadee, she is 3 1/2 people years old. We got her only a short time after we had been married. She came to live with us in Japan. And some people at church were nice enough to take care of her while we traveled to Hawaii with the boys. Kadee hurt her foot early this week helping Cody shoot pucks in the back yard. And this is a picture of her at the doggy hospital (she thought it was doggy jail). Kadee was so happy to see me, not so happy to see the camera. Although she is K-9, she acts more like a chicken. We love her so much, and will be happy when her foot is healed.
So none, and I mean none of us are going to look good in these pictures, its the morning and it started early. We are leaving for Colorado today, so there has been no beautifying... only packing. I just wanted you all to see pictures of the boys and dogs together, I should have stuck the piggys in there. Then the picture would be complete. You can't really tell in this picture because its the morning (none of us are real morning people), but the boys love the doggies so much!! And the best part is that the doggies love the boys so much. If Im playing with the boys and its getting a little wild, Kadees barks at me and tells me to settle down, and then Ivie barks at Kadee telling her not to bark at me. It makes for lots of noise and fun.
So again not great pictures, our dogs aren't very fond of the camera. Im just lucky that they are even in the pictures at all. As soon as I pulled out the camera they both tried to run for cover. But the important thing is that you meet Ivie, she is Kadees twin! Really, they came from the same litter. Ivie was Codys dog, but when we moved back to the states she was given to us by my mom. My mom already had two dogs, and this way it gave Kadee a playmate. Its kind of funny cause Kadee is like our child, and Ivie is like Kadees pet. We love Ivie she just thinks Kadees her mommy.
This picture was taken as soon as Kadee got home. She was so happy to see all the other doggies, and people she knows and loves. Kadee is diffinatly not a good pound puppy, way to pitiful.

Spotless

As most of you know, I have moved out of my house to rent it while Brian is gone. It will be nice to be at my moms, not so lonely! It will probably help the time go by faster. And then there is always $... It will be so nice to have someone paying our house payment!! I plan to keep pretty busy while Brian is gone. I have a friend that just moved from Colorado to Lehi (near my mom), I would like to start a mommy and me class with the boys, and then a few trips here and there (camping, Colorado, and who knows what else). I've even kicked the idea around about working (calling my old clinic up to see if they could use help), but I don't want to make to many changes all at once. Things like that are hard on little kids. But of course first things first... I had to find renters, move out (which was no small task... thanx to all the help!), and clean all the spots that can't be cleaned/or are hard to clean while furniture is in the way. And I'm DONE!! YIPPEE!
The above picture shows our humble home and all the snow (a lot had already melted, imagine that). Papa John and Chris spent about 3 hours clearing off one drive way (I have two but there wasn't enough time for both of them... now its my renters problem!). I felt bad how long and hard they worked shoveling, their poor backs! Just an FYI... it has snowed where Brian is, kind of crazy huh.
This is the master bathroom... and that shower had hard water spots all over it because Brian is in to big of a hurry to wipe if off each time he showered (he wont be to busy after it took me a couple hours to clean). Nothing a little CLR (calcium, lime, and rust) and elbow grease couldn't fix! Now its spotless!!
I love to cook... its fun and relaxing (most of the time). I enjoy it because I can use my creativity and make fun looking and good tasting food. If anyone had tips about getting kids to eat the fun and tasty food please let me know! Anyway, the bad part is that I'm a very messy cook. The oven was covered with black burnt on food. Spray a little oven cleaner on, leave it over night, and wa la... spotless. So clean you could eat off of it!

The funny story about the oven is that, when you clean it that good it makes you feel accomplished. It sounds crazy, but its true. My friend Darcy told me that one time and I always thought she was kind of strange, until I cleaned my dirty oven this week... Darcy you're a genius! My mom said, "that's great," when I told her how it made me feel. She then said, "you can feel that way again, when you clean mine." My response to her was that I didn't want to clean her oven because then she wouldn't get the feelings of accomplishment!!
This is my fridge... of course. And it wasn't really messy but it did seem to sparkle!! I took pictures to document everything in the house, so I'm legally covered. And I just love how white it is... spotless!
So anyone that knows me very well, knows that I'm kind of a germaphobe. I'm not horrible, but I did pay $50 for an hypoallergenic bed cover (Brian just be glad I didn't get the one that cost $100, more money could mean less germs)... so I don't have to share my renters germs. I also wash my hands until they are cracked and bleeding, I don't like eating at other peoples homes (it actually gives me anxiety attacks), and I keep my house pretty clean (minus all the dog hair! darn dogs). Moving out was a big pain in the butt! However, I am so excited to have all of my stuff out to sterilize the house. I'm hoping that the renters keep it pretty clean but I'm planning on spending a day to deep clean before I move in... very exciting to me! Kind of like a fresh start.

Oops, I did it again!

So I was in a very vulnerable spot when I went to the pet store today to get bedding for Noel. You see our dog Kadee, is at the vet having surgery!!! She even had to spend the night (I'll post pictures tomorrow). So I was feeling sad for her and wanted to get her something really special. Kadee is more like one of our kids than a dog... Brian's first born. So when I got to the pet store I saw a beautiful new Guinea Pig, I knew then that this would be the perfect get well gift for Kadee.

No really, while Brian was still here we were in the market for a second Guinea Pig. We have two parent, two boys, two dogs, and only one pig in our family? That's not right! The reason we didn't get a second piggy while Brian was here, was we never found the right one... until tonight. Sorry Brian, you didn't get to help pick... but she's perfect! The perfect size, the perfect colors, and she was there on the perfect day (the day that I was shopping for bedding).

I know all of you think I'm absolutely nuts!! However, we have a blast with them!! They are very easy to take care of, and the boys love them to death... almost literally!! Our family feels complete, well for a while anyway. I'm having a hard time picking a name for her. So if you have any ideas feel free to share them with me in the comment section. I would like something short and sweet like Noel... but I'm drawing a blank. Brian I want your impute too! I think it would be fun is she was in some way named after your deployment!!

Falling Apart

Yesterday we went to all of church, which means the boys spent two hours in the nursery (my friend calls it the cesspool). And just like clock work at 8pm today Heith got a raging fever. The good news is that they made a cute crown while at nursery that says, "I am a child of God." It even has there pictures on it. They were both very proud to wear them.
Twins!! Haiden got a cut on his right thumb by playing with scissors while I wasn't looking. It wasn't a bad cut I had a feeling to check on him and asked him to drop the scissors before he could get cut worse. Now the reason I used the word twins was because not two hours later Heith got his right thumb pinched and it tore a little piece of skin off his finger. They are both wearing matching band aides on the same finger. Things like this often happen to our kids... what a funny bond to have been created at the same time.
I don't know why but for some reason both of my boys are getting a little dry skin rash on there faces. I think its a combo of the cold weather and always having to wipe there little faces with aloe tissues. I have been treating it with a vitamin e creme. I think I'm seeing an improvement but I've only been doing it for a day... time will tell. The truth is that we miss our DADDY and we are just falling apart without him. Mommy is really trying but its very hard to blog and watch the kiddos ;) No really I can't be everywhere at all the right times. Hopefully we are on the mend.

Tubing

A fun thing we did as a family while everyone was still here for Christmas was we went TUBING! I think everyone had a blast, the bummer thing was that kids under the age of 3 weren't aloud to go down the hill. Poor Raine... our boys were lucky enough to have turned 3 that exact day. Its amazing!! Of course it was cold but as my mom says, "cold hand and warm hearts."

Christmas Morning

Our Christmas was pretty good... only a few hickups! :) It probably would have gone smoother had Brian not left that week (my nerves)... anytime I can blame it on someone else right? And a few scheduling problems over at the Hansen's thats why we don't have any pictures with them... we missed everything! If anyone can tell me how to get good picture of the kids open Christmas presents, while Im trying to help them open the presents, and open my own Christmas present and take video of it all. I guess it would take magic so I did my best and this is what I got.

We are BIG Boys now!

So its been along time since my last post, I've been crazy busy the last three weeks for obvious reasons. I am working on my house a lot, getting things cleaned out so when we move back in things are easy to put away and are clean. Right now I have a lot of things I want to take to DI, things that we've out grown or don't use anymore.

One major event that has happened is the boys have moved from the pack n play (at my moms) to a big boy bed!! They don't understand the concept of a big boy bed and what it means, but they think its fun to have Mickey Mouse sheets. I don't have any problems keeping them in bed, much to my surprise. Haiden is a little bed hog and for the last two nights I have found Heith on the floor sometime during the middle of the night.
